Wai Hin Hein Thant

Founder & Managing Director

With a deep passion for education and engineering, Wai Hin Hein Thant founded the Japanese Construction Academy (JCA) in 2021 to empower Myanmar’s young engineers with world-class technical and professional skills.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electronics and Communication) from Technological University (Mandalay), an MBA from Mandalay University, and a Master of Engineering in Urban Development Planning from Hiroshima University, Japan, under the Japanese Government (JDS) Scholarship. He also received academic scholarships from the Governments of India, Japan, and the United States, reflecting his dedication to lifelong learning and global exposure.

Before founding JCA, he worked as a Project Manager at PM+S Co., Ltd in Tokyo and as a coach for engineers preparing to work in Japanese companies. Guided by the academy’s motto, “A Move that Change Your Life,” he continues to inspire students to build confidence, skill, and discipline—qualities that lead to life-changing career opportunities in Japan’s engineering field.
